Top of page

The National Tribal Emergency Council is a Not-For-Profit Organization that assists Indigenous People across North America during times of Natural Disasters or Public Health Crisis.

Founded in 2001, the NTEMC has become a Nationally recognized influence on the way Native Americans position themselves in relation to the many unique struggles encountered by Indigenous People.

Smeltzer Inc. was contracted to assist with the consolidation and modernization of the Council's online profiles, including its Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn pages.

Upon the completion of higher resolution photographs and overall theming, Smeltzers' contract was expanded to include posting on the Council's behalf and strategically growing their online audience with various media styles, ad campaigns and target audience isolation.

The NTEMC also requested the assistance of Smeltzer Inc. for the purpose of promoting certain press releases related to partnerships with Enterprise companies such as AT&T as well as Verizon, Tote Maritime and Carlile Transportation.

At the suggestion of Smeltzers' Chief Executive Officer, a media team was assigned a media collection objective in order to equip the Council with better-than-current coverage of it's contributions to the Tribal Nations to whom it was impacting.

The team would accompany a large shipment of PPE supplies and food headed from the lower 48 states to the northern part of Alaska for Tribal distribution in order to take footage of the distribution and negotiate on behalf of the cooperating agencies.

"Smeltzers' ability to navigate sensitive situations and politically thin conversations was instrumental in the success of the operation. Christian put in hard work, often had to think of his feet and showed immense dedication to the indigenous communities."

Katelyn Magnuson

Director of Alaska's Rescue Coordination Center - UNAF

"Smeltzers' CEO is a highly skilled coordinator and negotiator in complex projects. He and I worked together on a project for the National Tribal Emergency Management Council that took skill, finesse, dedication, great communication skills, and vision. Smeltzer has all of those and ...the unique combination of seeing and understanding the big picture ...as well as the skills to bring it to fruition. He is a great leader..."

After a successful operation where sufficient media was collected, Smeltzer was contracted to incorporate the recently acquired media to design and generate a proposed new website design for the NTEMC as well as a new logo and donation processing system.
